It was a natural progression to add furniture to our cafe menu and signage range. Enter: the Bakery Display Case. Complete with brass hardware for a touch of luxury, this case has been crafted with durability and elegance in mind. Without any further ado, we thought we’d better help you out with installing your new creative countertop accessory and get the job done right.

You and your handyman are looking at taking about 30-45 mins once you’ve got the tools ready, so get a good playlist going, pour yourselves both a cuppa, and enjoy the quick and easy process.

Begin by familiarizing yourself with the different-shaped bars. Refer to the diagram above to ensure each bar is placed correctly—this is the most challenging step. The bars with two slots should be positioned at the back to accommodate the sliding doors.

Once you’re familiar with the bar placement, you can begin bolting them onto the end frame.

We recommend you assemble the case with an extra pair of hands. Start by placing all four extrusions onto one of the short acrylic panels at one end/top. Bolt these extrusions into place so that it is nice and sturdy.

Once the extrusions have been bolted in, you can now slide one of the long acrylic panels into the rail extrusions. We recommend standing the case upright on the end that has already been secured. Slide in the acrylic sheets ensuring the little holes in the acrylic (that’s where the handles go) are on the opposite ends. Make sure you remove the protective wrap before assembly.

After you slide in all the acrylic sheets, attach the other end frame and ensure all bolts are snug.

Bolt the little brass handles onto the doors. You will also find some feet to prevent scratching and slipping - place these on the bottom of the metal bars. If stacking multiple units, only use feet on the base unit.

If you would like to stack two or more cases, undo the corner bolt, place the connector under the bolt, and re-screw the bolt to secure the cases together. If you would like to remove the doors, slide them into the center of the case (the bars have more flex in the middle) and push them up into the top bar whilst pulling the bottom edge towards you to release the door from the rails.

FAQ's:

Can I stack the cases?

Yes, Bakery Display Cases of the same length can be stacked up to two high.  Every bakery case comes with all of the necessary hardware to securely stack them vertically on your countertop. We do not recommend stacking one smaller case on top of a larger case due to uneven weight distribution.

If you're after a triple-stacked option, we also have our Three-Tier Bakery Display Case!

Where can I buy the small pricing signs that are shown on the cabinet?

The pricing counter signs can be found here.

What color is the display cabinet screws and handle?

All of the Bakery Display Case hardware is a brass color.

Is the display cabinet made of glass?

No, the pastry display case is made with acrylic panels that slot into the aluminum brackets.

Can I get the retail display case in any other colors?

We provide the bakery case in three versatile colors - black, brass, and white, and do not provide a custom powder-coating service. If you'd like the bakery display cabinet in a different color, speak to your local powder-coating expert and you can have the case customized to your needs.

Can I use a pen on the bakery display case?

A dry-wipe or whiteboard pen could be used on the retail display case for displaying prices, but for neater menus, we'd recommend using our Pricing Signs, Large Pricing Signs, or the ever-popular Counter Signs.
