What is a wall-mounted café table?

A wall-mounted café table (sometimes called a floating table or Parisian coffee table) attaches directly to the wall, giving you a clean, modern look and saving valuable floor space. Made with rust-proof aluminum and designed to be sturdy and timeless, this piece is ideal for outdoor coffee bars and indoor seating alike.

It’s ideal for:

  • Small cafés

  • Tiny homes

  • Kitchen nooks

  • Studio apartments

  • Office and retail design

Unlike traditional tables with legs, a wall-mounted option opens up the space visually and physically, making even the smallest corners feel bigger.

People often ask, how much weight can a wall-mounted table really hold? And the answer is, more than enough. Our Wall-Mounted Café Table can support up to 55 lbs/25kg, making it strong enough for daily meals, laptops, and even elbows leaned on during your long coffee catch-ups.

What is the Booth Table?

Our Booth Table is designed to mimic the cozy, fixed seating you’d find in a traditional café or diner - with George & Willy's design flair. Mounted directly to the wall with a single leg for extra support, this aesthetic dining table is ideal for the modern restaurant or cafe design.

You can find it in:

  • Coffee shops

  • Kitchen breakfast nooks

  • Small restaurants

  • Home dining corners

  • Studio or apartment living

Often referred to as a bar leaner, restaurant table, diner table, or bistro table, the Booth Table seats 4+ comfortably and offers that relaxed, communal feel that people love in hospitality spaces. Unlike a freestanding table, it’s fixed in place, making it easier to clean around and visually less cluttered.

What’s the difference between a bistro table, café table, and booth table?

Great question — this is one where we see the terms getting thrown around a lot.

  • A bistro table is usually small and round or square, often used for two people, and traditionally associated with casual outdoor dining (think sidewalk cafés).

  • A café table is a more flexible term — it could be a bistro table, but also includes slightly larger or differently styled tables used in restaurants or coffee shops.

  • A booth table is usually paired with built-in seating. It’s often wall-mounted on one side with a single support leg, making it ideal for compact seating arrangements without bulky table legs getting in the way.

In all honesty, tables can be named all kinds of things, so we try to include all the names when referring to our table range to cover all bases. No table discrimination here!

How much space do you need for the booth table or café table?

The beauty of our Wall-Mounted Cafe Table is that it takes up no floor space at all. Literally zero - it's wall-mounted! Our Booth Table is slightly larger, for those dining areas that want to seat groups of people, and accommodate meals as well as drinks.

For spacing, as a rule of thumb, give yourself at least 80cm of width per person to avoid elbows clashing. For our booth table, leave at least 60cm (24") of clearance behind chairs for easy movement.

How high should a café or booth table be?

Our customers often ask:

  • What is the ideal height for a café table?

  • What’s the standard height of a bistro table?

  • Can a coffee table be used to eat at?

Typically, a café table sits at 28–30 inches (71–76 cm) high — standard dining chair height. The beauty of both our Wall-Mounted Cafe Table and our Booth Table is that you can choose your height.

With our bistro table, simply flip the mounting pole to either the tall orientation or short orientation, depending on where you're mounting it. For our diner table, are you wanting a bar set up? Then include our extension pole that comes packaged with the booth table. Alternatively, omit this for a classic restaurant table.

Where can you use these tables?

You’d be surprised how versatile they are. Customers have used our mounted tables as:

  • Home office desks

  • Balcony tables

  • Coffee corners in kitchens

  • Kids’ homework stations

  • Dining tables

They're super versatile for home as well as commercial spaces — which is why people also ask things like “Can I use a bistro table as a dining table?” or “What can I put in my dining room instead of a traditional table?” Either of our tables fits both of those situations.
